BBB Presents: P.L.A. AKA Benn Plattnum
P-L-A aka Benn Plattnum is the newest member to the Set 4 Life fam. Straight out of the Northside of Corpus Christi, Tx. gangs & crime were an early influence & after having his first child at 14 years old school was no longer a priority, hustlin' was. The streets taught him alot, then it all came full circle when his brother was killed in a shootout one night. In an unrelated incident his father was sentenced to life in prison for murder & after seeing so many family members & friends get locked up or killed he moved his family to Austin. There, he started his career as a rapper with Shock Records in a group called the Shock Boyz but going through a lot of life changes & legal issues slowed him down for a while. He later bounced back & created his own company "Madd Bomba Entertainment".
After that he went back to grinding; booking & promoting big & small concerts in the Austin & Corpus Christi area for some of the biggest names in music including Juvenile, Slim Thug, & Chamillionaire to name a few. Soon after he dropped a solo project called Undagroun-Heat but he stopped music when his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. While helping his mother recover from the cancer & surgery Benny Platt hooked up with long time friend Will Hustle & helped create the Will Hustle TV series & Will Hustle Multimedia. After the tremendous success of that venture he started focusing on music again, he got back in the studio & started droppin' hit after hit!!!
P-L-A is the next artist coming out of the Set 4 Life Camp with his mixtapes & features settin' the streets on fire!! He has 2 New Albums droppin' this Summer & has as a catalog of mixtapes in circulation & he has been featured in every magazine from The Source to Ozone. His style, his swagger & his hustle is unlike any other, with his hard deliverance & gangsta demeanor it's a wonder how the boy manages to still keep it so playa. He has big plans for this industry being that he is more than your average rapper, he's a business man. He has always been behind the scenes making sure everything went straight but now he's stepping out into the light to stake his claim in the game!!
I am huge fan of Dirty South music and you can quote me for saying this P.L.A. is gonna be doing huge things in the future! As you can see by reading the above artist bio, P.L.A. has already been featured in many quality magazines, so you know he's on the path for huge things already, it's just a matter of time to blow up!
