BBB Presents: Milwaukee Lateef

I was just looking at Mr. Brown's spotlight to pull some information off of it for a new post and I seen someone actually left a comment lol. So far on BBB comments are rare on post so I thought I take a better look at it, next thing you know the BBB artist spotlight for Miltown's own Milwaukee Lateef is born! This cat said "he's got a lil spit" I'd say he has more than just a lil spit, you can be the judge of that by peepin' some of his tracks after you read his bio!

Lateef was born on the North Side of Milwaukee "aka" The Mil or better known on the streets as "The Murder Mil", Lateef realized his dreams of becoming a lyricist at the ripe age of nineteen when he was introduced through a lyrical battle to the legendary "God Father of Hip-hop" Afrika Bambaataa. Before then, the extent of Lateef's writing was just simply unperformed words on paper reflecting on the truths of life through his eyes.

Lateef writes on experiences, which derive from viewing the world from a few different perspectives. His controversial lyrics, playfully, dance around issues that are deep-rooted in today's urban society, with only the most intuitive listener catching the underlying subliminal message. For those who are interested not only in head nodding bass, but meaningful lyrics, Lateef delivers food for the hungry hop-hop soul. After his talent was recognized, he soon gained much deserved respect from the hood in Milwaukee by performing at legendary venues and local bars on "open mic" nights.

He has also performed on Milwaukee radio (Kiss FM, V100, 1290 and WNOV), as well as done radio commericals for PAK-IT-IN Productions and PAKS World Jewelry. In addition, he has gained credited recognition for writing and performing the song "Street College Pros", along with Aggie Spirits, and Steven "boogie" Brown for the HBO Movie soundtrack "King of the Jungle" starring John Leguzaimo, Rosie Perez, and Micheal Rappaport. His raw sporadic flow puts the Mid-west on the map, while working in collaboration with East Coast Producer, LG of Good Combination Music, and a few other known artists. With influences such as Parliament, The Time,Duran Duran and more currently, 2-Pac, Outkast, Mac Mall, E-40, NAS, Jay-Z, SkyBalla, B.O.B, Kanye West, Maroon 5 and Ludacris to name a few, Lateef's career is sure to jumpstart into one of longevity. Like few artist, his goal, like his influences, is to depict a sense of originality, as well as, gain respect from his fans and peers in the industry.

When Miltown Lateef ain't doing his thing with his tracks he's touring with Afrika Bambaata and the and the Soul Sonic Force. Milwaukee Lateef does more than just 'spit a lil' this dude comes hard on the mic point blank period! Check out these tracks from the Miltown hotspitter and peep his myspace! What's good Milwaukee Lateef?...thanks for reachin' out to me mayne! 414 is in the building!!!
