Latium Entertainment and Rob G present
"Raquel G Celebrity Softball Game"
To Benefit
Texas Children's Hospital
Brought to you by Monster Energy and Frenchy's Chicken
Houston, TX - As Rob G was on the verge of the successful music career that he had put his heart and soul into for many years, tragedy struck in the form of Cancer. Rob had already lost his father to the disease at the age of 12 but this time it was his wife Raquel, the mother of his child. At a time when Rob should have been happiest, he was forced to walk away from it all to care for his family full time and to make his wife as comfortable as possible in her last months. Sadly, on January 17, 2008 Rob's wife passed away, leaving him to both try and refocus on his music career and be a full-time dad to his only son.
As he prepares for the October 21st release of his debut album, The Inauguration on Latium Records/Universal Republic, Rob G is commemorating the six-month anniversary of his wife's passing by bringing a host of celebs together for a celebrity softball game to raise money and awareness for this devastating disease, the proceeds from which will be donated to the Texas Children's Hospital.
