Obese: Whats good Term? How you doin?Termanology: All good fam, whats poppin?
Obese: Not much fam, just wanted to give you an opportunity to discuss your album and talk about a few other things.
Termanology: Aight, thank you cuz, that's what it is, lets go.
Obese: Alright, so the first time we heard you hit the big time pretty much was when you put your record out "Watch How It Go Down". Which means the first time we heard you was with the great DJ Premier. How did you two link up, and how did you come up with the track?
Termanology: Well one day he called me on the phone, DJ Premier and Statik Selectah called me, and they played me the beat. They wanted to see if I wanted it, and obviously I did. It took me like a month just marinating and listening to the beat cause I wanted to say the right thing on it. Then I went in with Preme, smashed it, and ever since then me and Premo been really cool and we've worked on a whole bunch of records. So it ended up workin' out for me ya know.
Obese: That's what it is right there. In that song you say you "see yourself as the holy resurrection of Pun". I definitely see the influence in the way you rhyme, and y'all are both Puerto Rican. What did Pun mean to you personally.
Termanology: Ahhh, I just love it man. I'm such a huge Hip-Hop fan, and on top of that I'm a huge Big Pun fan, and before that I was a huge Fat Joe fan. All the way since like '95, "Jealous One's Envy", I memorized all the words to that album. It's pretty much the soundtrack to my life right there. Then when Big Pun came out I was so happy about it cause Puerto Rican cat's was doin' it. At that time I was rappin' too, but I was a still a young kid ya feel me, and those dude's were the OG's so I kinda modeled my style after them. Also like Mobb Deep, Rakim, all that. I try to keep it hood from where I grew up, but I also keep it super lyrical.
