In the city & state where Lavern & Shirley, Happy Days, the Milwaukee Bucks, Brewers, and Green Bay Packers ( minus Brett Farve now) and notorious serial killer Jeffery Dalhmer are known for it's cheese and beer, one of Milwaukee's best rap superstars holds down the city.Mack Mone follows the success stories of Eric Bennet, Arrested Development's - Speech , R&B star Tank, Al Joru , and many others to come out of our great city. Mack Mone 1st hit the music scene back in the early 90's, he was the very first artist from Milwaukee featured in such magazines as the source, Right On , Top 100 R&B, Spice, Murder Dog, The Best of Rap Masters , The business Journal, on Milwaukee.com and countless local and state newspapers and magazines. Mack Mone was also the first independent artist not signed to a major label to perform at Clear Channel's v100's Jam 4 Peace. Mack Mone has released 6 independent projects to date not including the new album entitled "Come Back Kid" due out late '08 early '09.
Mack Mone grew up on the north side of Milwaukee, no father figure present only his mother and grandmother to turn to for support. A graduate of James Madison High School, Mack took the broadcasting specialty class and began his climb to the top entering countless talent shows and rap battles. He began to build his buzz and getting his name out there. Mack Mone put his first EP out "Betta Think Twize" and instantly put milwaukee on the map the ep was such a success mack decided to shoot a video which was aired on then " the box" video channel many projects followed including:
"In Da Freeza Chamba" which was distributed by Solar Music Group ( SMG) out of California which also at that time housed such artists as Master P, C-Bo, E-40 & The Click , The Dayton Family and more, mack sold over 20,000 cds independently under SMG. Other albums included "Cold Blooded" which featured the hit single "Shawty Thick" featuring the Ying Yang Twins and produced by DJ Smurf ( a.k.a. Mr. Collipark.) This took Mack Mone right back to the top of his game receiving over 3000 radio spins all while still independent. This caught the eye of Koch Records, but due to complications with the record deal it feel through, but Mack Mone had still captured the world with the famous chourus " bump de bump de bump shawty thick than a mutha."
After that, Mack Mone followed up with " Keep Grindin' Volume 1" which proved again to be an independent success with more than 10,000 cds sold. Mack Mone was again back on top of his game hooking up with ATL's own Backwudz, signed to Dallas Austin's label and worked with Milwaukee-born producer Milwaukee Black.
