Lady Lyric Chops It Up With BFochs!!!

BFochs: How's it going Lady Lyric? Thank you for taking time to do this this interview, what's up? How's life treating you?

Lady Lyric: Life is good I am blessed. Thank you for hitting me up for the interview.

BFochs: For those who aren't hip to who you are, where you rep and what you do, why don't you give the kind BBB viewers a brief, but detailed intro; does that even make sense? lmao.

Lady Lyric: I am Lady Lyric, the Queen Of The Streetz, no matter where I am at I hold it down for my ladies and those on the grind struggling, hustling, working a 9-5, whatever the case may be I am that Lady. I rep for my Pure Cash Entertainment Family my Bum Squad Djz/Rated X Vixens, my Team Afficial Gang and my Hip Hop Sisters.

BFochs: You grew up and lived in Queens, New York, but then you moved down south to Orlando, Florida. How did the move from Queens to Orlando affect you as an artist and as a person in general? What was the hardest thing you had to overcome when moving to Orlando?

Lady Lyric: I lived in NYC till the age of 18 and moved due to struggles and situations you will hear better expressed in my lyrics. When I moved to Orlando you can only imagine the scene at first to me it was very slow and laid back...I was used to the fast life....fast pace city life...and getting quick cash. However things only got better, Orlando showed me a lot of love and the Hip Hop Scene out there is nothing like what people think....it's not all about Disney out there IT CAN HAPPEN...... but after 10 long years I am back in NYC! I am home in Queens.

BFochs: You are managed by Fidel Cash Flow. How did you link up with Fidel Cash Flow? What has been the best advice he has given you in your career thus far?

Lady Lyric: Cash is my cousin/god brother, he is family. The best advice that Fidel has given me is "do different no matter what they say, be you" he wants me to step out the box...they doing "this" he wants me to do "that" they wearing "this" I choose to change it up. Basically to be as unique as possible.

BFochs: Originality is key, wise words from Fidel. Not only do you rap, but you sing as well, which one do you like doing more singing or rapping? Who are your top 5 singers of all-time and who are your top 5 rappers of all time?

Lady Lyric: Let's let the singing go...I haven't held a good note for a minute now lol...so obviously it would be rapping...if my Junior High School vocal teacher were to hear this she would spazz out "whatup Mrs. Augustine," lol...my top 5 would have to be...Mary J. Blige (THE QUEEN), Alicia Keys, Sade, Whitney Houston and I got tons more I rock out with.

BFochs: You have the word 'lyric' in your name, you exhibit great lyricism in your work. Who do you think are the top lyricists in the game right now?

Lady Lyric: Top lyricist right now? That's a tough one...I am going to stick to Jay-Z , NAS, Kayne West, Joe Budden and...there are a few more...and no Lil Wayne is not one of them.

BFochs: Weezy is doing this thing, but I too agree his isn't the pick of the litter. You have shared the stage with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Redman & Method Man, Pitbull and Ja Rule amongst others. Out of all of the people you have performed with so far who would you say is the best performer? What attributes did he or she bring to the stage that impressed you the most?

Lady Lyric: The best performers HANDS DOWN.... are Red and Meth, no one literally lights up a stage like those two. Energy is crazy...the combo is insane...the chemistry is just there.

BFochs: Meth & Red get busy, I can't imagine what a Meth/Red show is like. You and Geolani have a brother and sister-like bond. When did you guys start working together? How has he helped in your career thus far? If you can, please give me a quote or phrase he uses a lot that might be help motivate the BBB viewers out there.

Lady Lyric: We started working together in November of last year. He just always tells me "sis stay grounded," don't let what everyone else is doing interfere with what your doing.

BFochs: Wise words from Geolani! What is your take on this whole economic fiasco we have going on right now? What are your thoughts on the government wanting to help out the big corporations that went bankrupt and not the hardworking, taxpaying families who lost their homes in the mortgage crisis? Who will Lady Lyric be voting for in this November's election?

Lady Lyric: Man...they already bailed these dudes out and it's going to happen again...they could care less about the people who have large families and are losing their homes...they could care less about single parents...the whole government is for the people with "BREAD" if you ain't got "BREAD" then you are considered a nobody.

I am VOTING FOR CHANGE...I got my eye on Obama.



BFochs: OBAMA/BIDEN in '08, I smell what your steppin' in. You just released your EP "Picture That." How do you think the project turned out overall? What was your favorite joint on the EP and why? When will we see a full length mixtape/album from Lady Lyric?

Lady Lyric: I personally think its a solid project...I am very versatile on the whole thing...no two songs are alike and to me that makes a COMPLETE project. I have great production on it...very nice collabos, it's definitely something to look out for if you like Lyrics ;) I am not killing everyone on every single track...I am in the club...I am in the street...I am grindin'...I am living a real life and putting it on wax. The album will be out sometime next year end of 1st quarter, I want to make sure it's something I am 110 percent happy with.

BFochs:Watch out for that new Lady Lyric album people, if you don't got good health insurance you better get some, because it's goin' to get sick! Miami Kaos hooked you up with a super hot cover for your EP "Picture This." How did you link up with Miami Kaos and will he be doing work for you in the future? If you could describe Miami Kaos's art in one word what word would that be?

Lady Lyric: Kaos is family! I linked with Kaos after him already knowing me as a person and friend, I told him what I was looking for and he did the rest. He has platinum hands....definitely something the lord made. To describe K with one word I would have to say "genuine." You will see more of Kaos behind anything I push..

BFochs: Any shout outs or final comments before we wrap this thing up?
