You Know What Really Grinds My Gears? THE OVER USAGE OF THE WORD 'SWAG'!

Hola folks! "Grind My Gears" is back in effect! I know some folks wasn't havin' me skippin' a week in this segment, so I'mma break the e-streets off with TWO G.M.G. posts today. You read the title of the post so you already know what I'm going to be bitching about...and that my e-amigos is the over usage of the word 'swag.' Seriously is that the only thing to rap about nowadays?!? WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THIS SHIT!!!...

Don't get me wrong, there isn't anything wrong about talking about style and such, but basing ALL OF YOUR CONTENT on 'swag' or your 'style' is kinda lame, naw, it's REALLY LAME. I heard Pimp C say in an interview that there isn't any social commentary or knowledge being dropped in much of the music today, I would have to bless and co-sign that statement. To me it's to the point where honestly, if you touch the 'swag button' too much in a song, you seem like you are a girl. Like stated earlier, there is nothing wrong with talking about fashion and shit, personal possessions and what have you, but when you make ALL of your content about that shit, you needs to liven up and get on some educational non-fairy ass shit...

Keep in mind artists who talk about nothing but 'swag', kids look up to you, so please drop a little knowledge in there so when they support you and buy your music they are gettin' their money's worth. Why would you even wanna talk about nothing but clothes and shit? Seems pretty girlish to me. I know hip hop is a form/way of expressing yourself, but why can't you make the shit deeper? If all you have to talk about is swag you probably shouldn't rap, straight up, I know you got something going on in your life other than you going to the store to cop that new Gucci fit, for real, step your content game up! You sit and degrade women, but all you do is talk about clothes like a woman, so really, who's the bitch? LOL. That's my 2 cents on the matter, watch out for the next G.M.G. post later today!....
