The legendary Jay-Z once said "Hip Hop isn't music, it's a way of life." With living the life of a Hip Hop comes many things. Of course there is the music, and everything that encompasses that, but another very crucial aspect of Hip Hop is the fashion. Fashion and art in general, lie in the eye of the beholder, coincidentally, Milwaukee, WI beholds one of the hottest designers in the whole damn urban apparel game, and that my friends, is Gabrielle Ruiz!Gabrielle began to design clothing in high school to differentiate herself from the normal attire that everyone was wearing. Her persistent grind and uniqueness within her designs have paid off big dividends since then. As of Summer 2008, GR Urban Fashion Designed has been recognized locally, regionally and nationally for her contributions to fashion. & design. She has participated in many fashion shows, including:

Gabrielle also produced her own fashion show entitled "Don't Sweat the Technique": Fashion and Hip Hop: A Love Affair Collaboration Show on November 7th , 2008 at Stonefly Brewery in Milwaukee, WI. This show encompassed an array of talent including local hip hop artists House of M, Prophetic, Misen Lync, Raze, OBP, Vinnessey, The Cranberry Show, and Haz Solo. The show also included fashion designers Royal Zodiac, Flagship Label, Campbell Couture, Sazzy Designs and Gabrielle.
Recently, she have been customizing and personalizing wardrobe for many local artists and consumers including members of EMP Entertainment, DJ Hood Hephna, Young Nova of A-Team, Firey Phoenix, Maal Himself of Misen Lync, Gambit of HOM, Producer 40 Mil, Adam of ADP&P, and many more.
Gabrielle is currently working on the production of “Don’t Sweat the Technique” Part II which is tentatively scheduled for November 7th, 2009.
