Milwaukee, WI, April 4th- 4AR Music Group today released Volume 1 of “The Pandemic”. The full length promotional compact disc consists of 14 tracks. This stellar compilation is free, available to the masses at no cost. It is available for digital download or from street teams in Milwaukee, Chicago, Atlanta, New York, Detroit, Los Angeles, Oakland, Houston, and Daytona Beach. Included with this press release is the actual CD for your listening pleasure. Please look forward to Volume 2 and Volume 3 which will be released later in 2009. “The Pandemic” is a collection of rap, hip hop, pop and rhythm & blues. It is urban easy listening.
This is not executive producer, David “Reason” Whitten, Jr’s first project. In 2008, he released “The Requiem” which was a remix of tracks from Jay-Z’s “American Gangster” featuring Reason’s own original production. “The Requiem” was a great success, downloaded over 10,000 times, reviewed and heralded throughout online hip hop communities. Copies were distributed heavily and Reason has been building his catalog since that time. A mainstay in the Milwaukee music scene, Reason prides himself on creating music that is crisp, moves people and spreads like a pandemic.
Super producers Cool & Dre spoke candidly of Reason and his talent. "Your beats have a distinct sound…You definitely got some skills! David Whitten, we will remember your name!” We sought their feedback on various tracks. Regarding the track, “All My Life”, their response was, “This is a solid hardcore beat”.
The track “Danger” features KHB lyrically reminiscing, and ultimately finding danger in a climatic twist. The concept, production and lyrics came together so flawlessly that listeners have simply responded, “Wow”. This is the feeling of the entire project, music that literally gives audiences butterflies.
The two remaining volumes of “The Pandemic” will be released later in 2009. Any artists who are interested in contributing should contact 4AR Music Group directly. All talent will be considered.
