This Dirty South Repper's Beats Are NUTS!!! Check Out Dallas, TX Producer 2Much!!!

In 8th grade, 2Much attended McDonald Middle School in Mesquite, TX and he was really into DJing. He used to love watching DMC World Championship tapes with DJ Q Bert, Plus One, DJ Craze, and the X-Ecutioners. Through DJing he acquired a sense of timing and an ear for good music. He learned that there is a lot of great music outside of hip hop also. But what really got him in to beat making is when he started really listening to the beats of the songs he was spinning.

He wanted to know more about the people behind the lyrics. Producers like Timbaland, The Neptunes, Just Blaze, Lil Jon, and Mannie Fresh really blew his mind. And he found out that they make a pretty good living doing what they love to do and that was making music from the ground up. So 2Much set out to be a producer from there. Still in 8th grade, he started out using a program called Hip Hop Ejay. It was an easy to use program but it was really too easy because it used nothing but loops. Then his dad introduced him to another program called Fruity Loops.

It was more in depth than Hip Hop Ejay. It was really hard to understand at the time so he gave up on it and said to himself he'll just leave beat making to the producers and he would just spin their music. In 9th grade he came back to Fruity Loops one day because he was bored. 2Much started just putting instruments where ever. It sounded like garbage. So he gave up again for a month or so. He began just listening to the instrumentals of songs and learned what the instrumental consisted of.

It was basically a kick, snare, hi hat, and a melody. So he came back to Fruity Loops and put in just that. His beats began to sound like something. From then on, that's all he was focused on was beats and that is the reason his beats sound so good today. "With Multi Platinum Producer Darrell "Delite" Allamby as my mentor, with Minder Music Publishing having my back, and with me having faith in God I believe the sky is the limit for me."
