Mech (Demetrius Harper), 22, and Drez (Andrae Jones), 23, both was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mech is a music lover that possesses many titles such as a producer, engineer, artist, and songwriter. Drez is a “real-life” inspired artist and songwriter that also loves music. Some don’t know, but they are cousins. Mech and Drez both attended Daniel Webster Middle School. They had a small split in their bond while heading on to different High Schools. Mech and Drez reunited after 3 years unaware of ones musical talents. During that reunion, three demo songs was recorded before their second full conversation. After 4 years of grinding in the streets of Milwaukee and surrounding cities, Mech and Drez are now in complete harmony when collaborating together in the studio.
Mech and Drez also known to some fans as the “SWAGBOYZ” has a mind opening sound that you have to hear for yourself. Intense electricity that flows smoothly, identifies this duos music as something that demands so much attention. They have released “Off Da Block Vol. 1,” “Drez - Unsigned Hype,“ “Business and Streets The Mixtape” and “Life after Business and Streets.” Mech and Drez were featured on Core DJ Willie Shakes’ “Hi-Haters Vol. 1 - Vol. 3” and “MKE Mixtape Radio Vol. 1 - Vol. 4.” With 50 plus featured appearances on local artists songs and mix tapes and numerous live performances by Mech and Drez at the Miramar Theatre, local nightclubs, Soche, Quarters, and Nostalgia’s, has made them more recognizable to the public . They have collaborated with such artists as Chester French, Yung Kee, Paperchase, Ray Rizzie, Streets & Young Deuces, UMG “Royal Fam” and many more.
As Mech and Drez continues to progress and mature in their craft, they keep the faith and plans to build an empire and a credible name as artists and songwriters within the music industry. These young men are only at the beginning of their careers and have an amazing start that could even put some major labels to shame. The city they are coming from is really no excuse for underachieving success.

I caught my first glimpse of these guys' music on one of DJ Willie Shake's "Mke Mixtape Radio" mixtapes, and I've been a big fan ever since. They are hella consistent, and they have been settin' trends in Milwaukee for a hot minute, I got a good feeling about their future in the music game. Their mixtape, "Definition Of Swag," is coming soon, so I'd be on high alert for that. Below you can peep some videos from their Youtube channel, a few of their joints ("Say Hello" is their newest single"), and a link to their Myspace, check em out on Myspace now!!!
